Stepping-Stones Osteopathy (SSO) SSO is a local osteopathic physical therapy service based in Barnwood (Gloucester) and Painswick (Stroud) run by Abigail Smithson, a registered and fully insured Osteopath. As a therapy service we aim to provide the stepping-stones you need to preserve or restore an improved state of health and wellbeing. Osteopathy can be used to treat a variety of both acute and chronic medical conditions including general aches and pains, arthritic pain, rheumatic pain, muscle tension/spasms, sciatica, back pain, neck pain, minor sports injuries and neck related headaches. Treatment can include massage, stretching, gentle mobilisation and, where appropriate, joint manipulation. Rocktape application is also available and included in the appointment fee.
